Plan a Trip like a Pro
Adventure with Ease
This is one of my favorite apps that I use multiple times in the week. It is essential to finding my car at the large unmarked university parking lots or even finding my way back to a certain spot. The app pinpoints your location and saves it by pressing the pin button. On your way back simply hit the arrow and it will route back to the pin. Overall it takes the stress away from remembering exactly what turns I took in order to find my way back or how far away I really parked the car.
Memory Lifeline
Apple products are a blessing but also a curse when you do not own only Apple products. This little guy takes away the constant headache of having an android and a MacBook. Even if an Apple product isn’t slowing you down it is a fairly simple way to share multiple photos with others on the go quickly. Before using this device I recommend charging the phone, as it drains battery life when downloading over a hundred photos. I learned this the hard way after attempting to pick and choose certain photos I wanted to transfer (well over 1,000).
“Me Time” Fitness
After missing a couple of posts this month, I decided it was time to evaluate my psychological and physical health. The two are a couple holding hands but when one is without the other things get rocky. When physical health is abandoned eventually psychological health starts to fall apart. It is important to remember to take time for yourself no matter how daunting your checklist is. I fall prey to this easily and pay for it every time.
Ways to Treat your Valentine
Do not be that boring cookie cutter person who brings roses and plans a reservation for two (unless that’s what they asked for or really enjoy). Try being different, think a little out of the Hallmark holiday. Even swinging by Starbucks or Jamba Juice to pick up their drink of choice on a random day shows love. Show interest in their hobby: buy tickets to a show (not a movie), dart painting, rock climbing, race car driving, archery, horseback riding, dancing, music or have a photoshoot.
Treat Yourself
While February is known as the month of love, people too often forget to love themselves. School is starting to crack down on assignments to be done with midterms crawling their way towards us. Whatever your kryptonite, here are some ways to destress without breaking the bank, and skip that pricy massage you tell yourself you want, but never make the time for As a fellow broke college student, I got you.
Surprise Package
Honestly February is a bitter sweet month filled of perfection expectations. It is easy to forget that showing love is not just permitted to one day of the year, Valentine’s day. Instead of stressing about one upping each other on what your sweetheart got you compared to your friends, take a step back. Remember all the things they do for you the other 364 days of the year. Have you been showing love too? This “holiday” should be used as an evaluation to check in on how you personally are making others feel special.
Decluttering in the New Year
Holiday hustle is starting to wind down, the ball has dropped to ring in a new season. Now is the time to make a clean slate, starting with your closet. Unless you’re a minimalist there is work to be done. Clean space, clean mind to bring forth new ideas in this new year.
Resolutions
Step into the season, a time of newness. Months, weeks, days that may be hard could be right around the corner that cannot be controlled, but the ability to react can be. Step back breathe, realize that people are nearer then they feel when the walls seem to close in. Times of happiness will come that bring tears and bellyaches of joy. It’s the time to review how far you’ve come in this year of 2017 and how far you wish to climb in 2018.
