- Before Trip: This should be obvious, however, make sure all routine maintenance is taken care on vehicle. Pack basic tools to use if something happens roadside. Does the car have a tire kit? Do not rely on road side assistance in case an emergency happens where there is no cell service.
- Directions: Print out or bring a map of your destination. This only applies if the trip is to a new place. There have been times where I was on a trip and lost service for awhile which made me grateful to have an old fashioned map.
