Cricut Baby Onesie Design Ideas

Purchasing a Cricut has opened my crafty possibilities to things that were not necessarily possible before so… when it was announced that two of my friends were expecting this summer it was time to step out of my comfort zone and try iron on for the first time. This post is not to say that I am somehow an expert now, however, I do want to share some tips. Surprisingly it was pretty easy to use the Cricut iron on vinyl, that being said I do recommend that you print out the heat guide to reference easily. Some of the designs I tried used different types/colors of vinyl which can be tricky. In order to prevent uneven heat issues press all of them at the same time. Often this can be overlooked but whenever you are giving someone a handcrafted gift do not forget to provide the care instructions to increase the longevity of the item.

Finding Relaxation During Lockdown

While the world seemed to be on the edge of coming around to somewhat of a new “normal” the brakes have screeched yet again. Could it be time to accept that this is the norm now, wearing masks and getting dirty looks whenever choking in public? Please tell me I’m not the only one who has noticed this happening or had it happen to yourself. Needless to say the stressful times are far from over.

It is a blister day in the neck of these woods, which is fun crafty weather. Cricut Tote Review | HOMEST

Finally, the Cricut box has made it out of the house which means yes a bag review of course. After doing some research I realize that the Cricut branded storage option wasn’t the optimal one for me. Although the brand’s bag is heavily padded and appears to be of good quality there were two things that had me searching for alternative brands.

Unpaper Towels: DIY

It’s that time of year where blankets are near, the fire (heater) is roaring and everyone is crafting. If you are throwing a party and looking to be a bit more environmentally conscious try out unpaper towels this year. Yes, you can buy fancy linens or official unpaper towels from Etsy shop owners and alike cites, however, they can be pricey. For a fraction of the cost you can create your own before the online shops would be able to ship theirs to you, they are that easy to make.

Plan with Me: Mood Tracker

Not sure why it has taken me so long to produce planner content, I absolutely love them. The new trend has been the bullet journal which allows for optimal customization, however, you can also create that with other types of planners. My go to planner for the last couple of years has been the Happy Planner, I love being able to take out pages without ruining it. It also has the capability of customization just like the bullet journal since you can add pages to the binding. Some of the popular pages to customize in a bullet journal are the tracker pages due to the creative level that breaks away from the traditional check list.

Budgeting 101| Freebie

Adulting always seems as if you’ll be jumping into this magical fairy tale where you get to paint the walls without permission. Then you get there and realize all the negatives that align with them such as figuring out how to afford all the paint.ha. I’ve learned a lot in a short window of time but budgeting has always been a part of me, it’s fun. A game you cannot afford to lose, quite literally.

Reusable Duster | Easy DIY

Eco friendly products have been around for a while and still I have yet to try any. Similar to other popular items, there always seems to be a settle label “tax”. For instance, items that never had any gluten are suddenly sporting a gluten free sticker and a shiny new price tag. All the fashion trends seem to follow a similar formation of how to raise prices when the demands rises to increase it’s business.

Pumpkin Painting | Tips & Tricks

Searching for the perfect pumpkin is the first step. Last week when I roamed the rows of a pumpkin patch farm searching well, mostly low for the right shape and colored pumpkin, I thought painting real pumpkins would be cake. Alright so this pumpkin is a bit slick nothing a couple of coats of paint cannot handle… wrong. This pumpkin experience was a nightmare.

Review: Color Street Nails

A few months ago I purchased these nail polish strips from a festival vendor. Since the designs were so unique I waited until my birthday to try them out. While I have tried nail strips or as I call them nail stickers before these ones are advertised as being 100% REAL nail polish, so I was curious as to if Color Street nails were overall higher quality than competing brands.
