EEEP! Today I have exciting news, the first official Halloween costume of the season in a d.i.y. To make things easier your girl made a youtube video to guide you step by step to making this sassy beast costume. This was actually my costume last year for Halloween, however, with the Meg movie that came out this year plus sharks being my favorite animal I could not resist sharing it.
Searching for the perfect pumpkin is the first step. Last week when I roamed the rows of a pumpkin patch farm searching well, mostly low for the right shape and colored pumpkin, I thought painting real pumpkins would be cake. Alright so this pumpkin is a bit slick nothing a couple of coats of paint cannot handle… wrong. This pumpkin experience was a nightmare.
If only the weather were actually cold and not in the high 80’s this jacket would be my daily, however, it is more of a nightly? ha. This red lil sassy jacket is by the brand KUT from the Kloth. It mocks the feel of suede but is vegan obviously. Let me just stop for a second to say it has REAL pockets. Yes, ladies real phone holding pockets that zip. I hate mock pockets, they are such a tease.
Above are the oldest boots in my collection, at about four years old. These tend to get a lot of love during the fall season, however, Carlos Santana boots do not wear out easily. Knee high boots are definitely a staple for fall, I recommend a semi loose classic brown or black color. The buckles on the side provide a unique touch making them give off a cowboy boot vibe.
Although fall is officially here, the weather has been dragging it’s feet in California. With climates bouncing between 80 and 90 down to sweatshirt lows. It’s not quite time to break out that sweater bin yet so here are some ways you can step into fall in the meantime.
It is officially fall! My favorite time of the year, when the leaves fall and fashion starts to change. Above are the top colors forecasted by Pantone for the fall 2018 season. It is a palette I have gotten to know fairly well, since fashion designers use this source in the opposite season prior to its debut. I worked with this palette at the beginning of this year at university ha. My favorite has to be the either the Ultra Violet (light purple, 3rd bottom row) or the Valiant Poppy (red, 2nd top row).
