Mother’s Day | Gift Guide 2019

Next week is Mother’s Day lovelies so start brainstorming now! There are so many options when it comes to gift giving for mother’s. Seize  the day and show your mother how much you love her. Also do not forget to show your appreciation to the fellow ladies in your life who also fulfill a motherly role, grandmas, aunts, cousins, etc.

Not sure where to start with gift giving or the thought of giving something in your budget seems inadequate? Every time I ask she tells me peace and tranquility. Since they don’t sell that anywhere she’s still waiting on that one. My advice is to show her time, effort, and listening more than your wallet. Whatever your talent is, use it to show an added touch of affection. Show her you are listening by getting her something she’s been talking about for awhile.

The Basket: Can’t decide what to get? Go from the gift basket and stuff it with all of her favorite things.

Cook for the Family: Yes, make mom breakfast in bed, but if she usually makes the whole family breakfast in the morning then take on that task for her. Don’t forget to clean up as you go whatever you do, do not give her the gift of a messy kitchen.

Create something: Those macaroni crafts she kept from you as a child still tug on the heart strings but step up your game a bit. If you are an artist draw something and then frame it. Handy with tools? Fix something, make a piece of furniture, or even a cutting board. Make it useful.

Listening: Buy her something she has been wanting: a book, movie, dress, pair of shoes. Has she been talking about wanting to try a new hobby? Help her get started with some materials for it.

A Date Night: Costco has many deals including a pretty wide selection of gift card options at a discounted rate from movie tickets to restaurants. Mom not the dinner and movie type, then head to Groupon for a message, adventure or creative options. This can be just the two of you or for her to use on a romantic date night, you choose.

DIY Gift Wrapping Ideas |Christmas

Christmas is right around the corner! It is time to wrap all those gifts stashed in the closet. If you have not finished your shopping already, get to it. ha. Every year I try to be a little more artsy with my wrapping. Normally I end up drawing on a couple of brown paper packages which is why this year I wanted to change it up.

Winter Sweaters | Look book 2018

We are in the final stretch people! Only two weeks until Christmas, so I wanted to share with you my favorite sweaters for the season. Reindeer, Santa and of course bears oh my. Ha. Over here in California it does get a bit chilly but not compared to most places so whether you live in a snowy place (so jealous) or a warmer place there is a look for you.

Gift Guide | for Him

Christmas shopping is a fun time to treat your loved ones with something they truly want / need. If the men in your life are anything like the men in mine, they tend to believe saying they need nothing or do not care is helpful. It drives me mad. You have to listen carefully to figure out a slight hint as to what they may want. Let me help you out this year by giving you some of my go to gifts for men.

Loungewear |Gift Guide

Hey lovelies, hope you are having an amazing week thus far as you come off your shopping high. ha. Christmas shopping is a fun time to not only show appreciation for others but also to show them how observant you are on their personality. Today’s gift guide focuses on the homebody who loves to keep it cozy on a winter’s rainy or dare I say snowy day?

Secret Santa Questionnaire | Free Printable

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I know some people cringe to endure anything Christmas related prior to the day after Thanksgiving but hear me out. All your family and loved ones will be gathered together around the table spreading thankful thoughts. Why not show people how grateful you are for them by putting together a secret Santa questionnaire. This will make things easier for others and yourself since people will not be back together until Christmas.
