Hello,

I am a bit puzzled on what to do. I loved the products, however, the bottles have started cracking. In late August I received the starter kit as a birthday gift, less than two months later two out of the three bottles have cracked all the way through. I do not recall dropping them, my fiancee suggested that they cracked due to the bottles expanding in the heat (we have no ac). Then again if it was from the heat why didn’t all three crack.
I was going to repurchase the two bottles that broke but I do not want them to keep cracking as it defeats the purpose of them being reusable if I have to keep replacing them.

We’re happy to send a replacement Starter Sets to the shipping address on file and issue return labels for you to send back the damaged bottles in the same boxes your replacements are shipping to you so we can responsibly recycle them.

Before we do that, do you mind sharing an image or video of the bottles with us so we can share this feedback with our team to understand your issue better? We’d truly appreciate it!

We’re still working out the kinks and sincerely apologize that you received a defective bottle. Once we receive the defective bottle back, we’ll be sure to further investigate with our product development/manufacturing team.

Thank you for the quick response, and of course, attached are pictures of the bottles. I am interested in receiving a replacement starter set, it was ordered under my mother’s name as she ordered them for my birthday. On file it would be under name at address. Let me know if you need any more information.

Thanks for the confirmation! We’ve gone ahead and sent a replacement Bathroom and Multi-Surface Starter Sets to the shipping address on file and you should receive another confirmation e-mail shortly. We’ve also attached the return labels in this e-mail for you to send back the damaged bottles in the same boxes your replacements are shipping to you so we can responsibly recycle them. Alternatively, if your area has single-stream recycling you can also dispose of them that way.

Within a week the new bottles arrived. If you are wondering, “why didn’t you update us sooner”, here is why. It is amazing that they replaced the bottles, however, I wanted to wait at least a month to see if the new bottles would have the same issue. I am happy to say that so far the bottles are all blemish free.

Worth the Money?:

Yes, the products are good, if you read the comments on the trial video you will see that others have had issues with the cracking as well as the glass cleaner. The companies customer service is excellent though, so if you have any issues simply reach out to them. When I received my bottles the first time around they were just starting out now they have additional products and no doubt are improving daily.

On the subject of the glass cleaner leaving smudges, if you use too much this will happen. Perhaps they have changed the formula now so this no longer occurs though. Personally I have switched to white vinegar, however, it does not smell anywhere near as good as the Blueland glass cleaner. ha. My favorite ones would still have to be the multi surface and bathroom formulas. I would definitely recommend their products to a friend, they clean well without the annoying chemical smells.

  1. I had the same problem. My multi-surface bottle cracked and was replaced. It then cracked again a year later and I replaced it myself. Now my bathroom bottle cracked. I’m getting fed up with the mystery cracks, but I really do love the products. I am going to purchase my own bottles to replace their bottles as they break. The handles are too small to hold comfortably anyway.

    1. Wow… that is annoying, yes replacing them with different bottles does sound like a good solution. I would still reach out to the company so they know that it is a reacquiring issue, perhaps they will have some kind of compensation besides simply replacing it yet again. Mine have yet to crack again, however, it has not been a full year since they were replaced.

  2. I recently received the starter kit from a son as a gift. The bathroom cleaner bottle was used one time. It got placed in a cabinet and when I just picked it up, the whole top came off and there is a six inch crack down the side. I spilled about 80 percent of cleaner onto the floor. It strikes me that the bottle plastic is too rigid. Like others, I like the product, but the bottles are a failure if the idea is something reusable.
