We discussed how hauls can be destructive but also informative a bit ago. It is that time of year again… my BIRTHDAY!!! Yay! For my birthday haul this year I have collected even more freebie information for you guys to bank on for your birthday as well as a collective haul of what I received from friends and family.
Next week is Mother’s Day lovelies so start brainstorming now! There are so many options when it comes to gift giving for mother’s. Seize the day and show your mother how much you love her. Also do not forget to show your appreciation to the fellow ladies in your life who also fulfill a motherly role, grandmas, aunts, cousins, etc.
For the last post for January of this new year, 2019 I wanted to check in with you all. How are you doing with those resolutions? Let me know in the comments what they are and how the first month went.
Personally some of mine have done well while others have faded into the background seizing to surface until next New Year’s eve. Anyone else feel the same? Don’t get me wrong, my resolutions were made with a purpose, I even took the time to figure out how to execute them all. So… why did they all not succeed this first month?
The holidays and celebratory moments are all about family. One of our traditions includes playing games since I was little for the holidays. Our favorite game has to be phase 10 but never has the whole family participated in it. Often while playing cards the rest of the group will watch a movie, some will play video games and others play on their phone.
A bit of background
Until college I was hair shamed into straightening my naturally curly hair. From being teased in elementary school that I had an afro to waking up early in middle school to straighten my hair before school. In college I started to lose the stamina to straighten my hair every single day, so I didn’t do it all the time. It was not until a classmate asked well what are you, as she touched my hair that I started to feel weird again.
To start off my birthday the night before I received my favorite type of flowers, an edible arrangement! Yes, I do not fancy flowers in the slightest, they are nice but they just sit there and die…
Over the last couple of years velcro shoes have been popping up in magazines being worn by Jessica Alba, Selena Gomez and Kendall Jenner to name a few. Spring 2018 the trend made its debut on the runways. I’ve been a bit skeptical about the trend, seeing them being sold across the board from $30 to $600.
The last few days of the season, call for a last-minute date night with the mister. Thursday’s ensemble was a bit different as the pups went to work with us today. In other words, it had to be practical for carrying them, walking around, etc. Studded Booties: Charlotte Russe, White eyelet skirt: Aerie, Teal Beautiful shark Tee: Fuego, Anchor Necklace: Custom.
