Yep, it’s already come full circle and it is time for yet the grandest most extra Hallmark holiday, Valentine’s Day. Don’t have a Valentine’s date, well make a galantine’s for you’re bestie. This particular d.i.y. was made specifically for my sister rather than my significant other. Valentine’s Day has always been a sister holiday for us. When I saw this file on Makers Gonna Learn I thought it was perfect for a conversation heart gift box. You know the iconic chalk candy that everyone buys but no one really enjoys. Let me know if you also feel the same way about conversation hearts in the comments down below.
Not sure what to place inside this type of box? Here are a few ideas: flowers accompanied with a note, their favorite sweet, a bath bomb, nail polish, jewelry, or even a new game they’ve had their eye on. Materials needed for this project include medium to heavy weight card-stock, paper grass, cricut machine (explore air or maker) and an adhesive. The main material you cannot skimp out of is card-stock, it needs to be a medium to heavy weight in order to withstand the weight of the contents inside it. Looking for box filler/ paper grass, but having no luck? Try making your own by either cutting out tiny strips of paper or running colored paper through your shredder. If you have any ideas or make this box yourself please tag me @breanafaith on instagram or share it below.
Similar to previous d.i.y. projects this one was inspired by pure practicality. Before diving in let me first tell you how I got myself into this lovely situation. There is no proper satisfying story you know the ones where someone does something epically stupid. I simply walked right into this one, literally. That early morning the alarm demands attention, just a quick stretch right? Ehh… I fell asleep in childs pose which caused both my feet to go completely nomb not the regular pins and needle numb, the my feet feel like bricks of giant blubber numb. It is a weird feeling for those who have not had the pleasure first hand. Walk it off right…? WRONG. I made it maybe three steps before stepping on my toes, yes, my toes, with the same foot. This caused me to obviously twist my ankle in and something popped initially it was painful but I thought surely, I had just rolled my ankle.
Decorative pillows are fun but they can get boring after a while, especially if they are seasonally themed. While you may think that simply flipping the pillow over to the plain side will suffice for the off season it really doesn’t. Instead of filling the hallway closet with pillows for every occasion try making your own pillow cases to fit over a seasonal or plain old throw pillow.
Before I even received a Cricut machine all I wanted to do was create pretty, unique stickers for my planner. People who say they are too old for stickers I will never quite understand. Anyway, everyone made it look so easy on their tutorials so I thought it would be just as smooth for me. I watched multiple tutorials and thought I was overly prepared to say the least. After spending weeks creating designs for my first stickers the machine showed me who was really in charge. So, you want to make stickers?
Throughout my Cricut journey I have learned a lot about well… what not to do. Master these top ten tips to start crafting like a pro without the pent up frustrations. Listed below are all of the tips and tricks as well as the time stamp to them in the detailed video at the bottom of this post. Whenever I am looking for tips I usually have a particular goal I am researching so I thought it would be helpful to list out all of them for you rather than leaving it a surprise.
Eco friendly products have been around for a while and still I have yet to try any. Similar to other popular items, there always seems to be a settle label “tax”. For instance, items that never had any gluten are suddenly sporting a gluten free sticker and a shiny new price tag. All the fashion trends seem to follow a similar formation of how to raise prices when the demands rises to increase it’s business.
