How to: Edit Instagram Photos

Part two of my behind the scenes Saturday mini series continues with what apps I use to edit my photos. I use all of these apps to edit not only my Instagram photos but also my blog photos. If you are just starting out with editing photos on Instagram these tips will help you create cleaner, brighter and more cohesive images for your specific theme. Yes, I cover all the types of images from model photos to flat lays.

Behind the Scenes | Equipment

Throughout my first year of blogging I have learned a lot and experimented with various equipment options. The first background I ever used for instance was a piece of scrapbook paper, before upgrading to an old white sheet. Now I use an actual legit background where I no longer have to use two different sheets to cover the surface area I am photographing. If you follow me on instagram @maddieautumn_faith you saw my blue poster board phase too. ha.

Pumpkin Painting | Tips & Tricks

Searching for the perfect pumpkin is the first step. Last week when I roamed the rows of a pumpkin patch farm searching well, mostly low for the right shape and colored pumpkin, I thought painting real pumpkins would be cake. Alright so this pumpkin is a bit slick nothing a couple of coats of paint cannot handle… wrong. This pumpkin experience was a nightmare.

Apple Pencil Review

The Background

As an artist, sketching, doodling and so on are a huge part of my creative expression outlet. Since tablets came into existence, I have always been a more paper and #2 pencil kind of person. The first tablet I tried was a Samsung that came with a stylist specifically for drawing, I fell in love. However, after a couple years it starts to lag due to upgrades past it’s capabilities. Long story short, I decided to try the iPad for the first time when they came out with the Apple Pencil, specifically for university and sketching.

Vegan Desserts

With any lifestyle desserts are a good pair. Throughout the last couple of years desserts have been a like a sour patch kid. Sour in mindset and sweet in taste. Since I do not drink milk it has been a mission to find desserts that do not make me feel sick. Yes I still enjoy rich sugar filled desserts every once in awhile, however, these are the sweets I have more often.

D.I.Y. Doodle Folder

Before each semester starts, I nerd out on school supplies to see if anything is “needed”. One of my favorite times of the year is honestly back to school shopping. The spring semester for college is not as exciting as there are no hyped up deals or ads. However, I do still enjoy going through all my supplies and organize what I may need based on each course.
