Pink and red everything hearts and candy galore. Who else is excited for all of the Hallmark holiday lovey dove movie specials? Valentine’s Day is such a versatile holiday depending on your mindset. At the store there are things for romantic relationships alongside Galentine’s day merchandise. Since I was little my sister, mom and I have exchanged valentines. This holiday should be more about love in all relationships. These looks pair well with various activities from the classic dinner date to a comfy movie date with the girls.

Ever year the gym fills up for January and slowly empties out again. Like the ocean, people keep following the tide in and out of fitness. I encourage you to take off the pressure and just do it. This has been a struggle for me too the past couple of years. I was hesitant to even take photos in fitness wear due to the fact that I believed I needed to look like a fitness model. Yes, I am unhappy with my body but I am happy of all the things it allows me to do. That being said I need to treat my body with the respect and love it deserves inside and out. I urge you to do the same plus a little retail therapy never hurts. ha.

Happy rainy season! In California the skies are grey and rain drops are frequently falling on my head. ha. It is a new year filled with new styles, the first one I want to discuss is of course essentials for this year’s rain season. I know in other parts of the world it is not winter so comment down below what season it is for you.

Upon drafting this post I was inspired to curate essentials for both the work day and the casual weekend, however when it comes to some things they tend to overlap. All of the jackets below I would wear to the office and on my day off. I have included jackets with various price points with two different length options. When looking for an office appropriate item my go to is making sure it is not too loud or offensive. Then again the too loud may waver depending on your occupation.

The shoes are the only item that I separated in terms of work versus play. If you are in a more professional environment or a more sassy fashionista stick to the work styles. Other items such as umbrellas, scarves, gloves and hats are not separated.
