Date Night Lookbook | Salsa Dancing

Last weekend was packed with fun events, perhaps the most fun was the group date night I attended at a local family pub so to speak. This little lookbook includes not only what I wore to the event but also another look that was inspired by the event. Valentine’s Day is also right around the corner so hopefully these looks inspire you.

Everyday it is a pub where you can play billiards, arcade games and eat food with friends and family from opening to a certain time in the evening, I believe 9:00 pm. At 9:30pm this particular night they teach a thirty minute salsa steps class included in the door fee of $6 per person. You must be 21+ to attend this type of event due to the fact that it is more of a club atmosphere.

Strobe lights, couples and friends dancing, people drinking, and memories being made. If you do not drink do not let that hold you back from this type of date night. I don’t drink but I do enjoy going with friends to dance and watch others dance, it makes for fun memories.

Inspired by the 50’s this look came to be when my boyfriend pushed me to wear jeans and stop trying on dress after dress while getting ready. This is what I actually wore to salsa night, yes jeans! I was a bit miffed about it but it ended up being comfortable and more practical for the weather while remaining cute.

Button up blouse is from Abercrombie, it is a light blue color. The headband is from my diy post, click here to make your own. Jeans are by Articles of Society stretch yes, no holes please and the perfect little ankle fray look. Classic all white Converse pull this look together. (This picture was before I cleaned them. ha) If you are afraid of wearing white shoes check out my post here.

At these types of events looks vary. People wore rompers, dresses, shorts, jeans, and even tuxes. For a spicier look pair a leather jacket with a somewhat short dress with classic black heels and a lil hair accessory to tie it all in. Jacket and shoes are by Michael Kors. Flowey hibiscus dress is unknown as it was a gift from Kauai as well as the faux hibiscus clip.

Keep it sassy,

Faith
