How to: Convert a PNG to an SVG

Although SVG files are a bit daunting at first, they do make the designing process easier. The main benefit of using a SVG over a PNG is that you can alter the colors of the image in design space. While several programs and classes are on the market today to learn how to create an SVG file there is also a free resource out there www.pngtosvg.com. No downloading software or paying for classes: this site instantly creates the SVG for you. That being said it is not a perfect program so the image may need to be tweaked like mine in the tutorial below once it is uploaded into design space.

Little kids are engraved to challenge the word no, often it is for their own safety but when you get older it is often the best discoveries that come from pushing the boundaries. For instance, crafting, some of the best projects are made when you “break the rules” so of course today we are going to do just that. After purchasing some faux suede I realized that it really is only compatible with simple cut projects but I had other hopes so instead of throwing it to the back of the closet for a someday project I decided to ignore the recommendations and try it anyway.

Halloween is a time of creative freedom but this year is a little well very different. Same may say it is making this time grim,  however, I challenge you to try to see a different perspective. For instance, wearing a face mask can add to your costume rather than hinder it. In past years you’d paint your face, this year all you need to do is decorate a mask saving time and well the itchiness from paint on your face. On another note for obvious reasons most workplaces prohibit employees from coming to work with a painted face or full covered mask. A face mask opens up the possibilities for me this year which is why I decided to create this d.i.y. specifically. Not going to work?  Well wear it out for errands or around the house to spark a little joy to those around you and yourself. Below is the full tutorial for part one of the bear costume tutorial, the mask along with written instructions.
