Mary Maxim Yarn Unboxing Haul |Parfait Premier First Impressions

With the news of Joann possibly going out of business it is time to reach beyond mass craft stores and seek other options. Although the idea of Joann being gone forever is absolutely heartbreaking, it may actually happen. To be honest Michaels is not the best substitute, especially when it comes to yarn. I love touching yarn prior to purchasing to see what textures will best work for each project but it is becoming a thing of the past.

While looking for a new crochet project I kept hearing about Parfait Premier yarn so I decided to reach out of my comfort zone and give it a try. Instead of purchasing straight from Premier’s website, I stumbled upon the business called, Mary Maxim. To be a hundred percent transparent this decision was heavily influenced by them offering the lowest price point. I will say that Mary Maxim has a wide range of crafting solutions and yes they seem to have great deals too. From puzzles to sewing they have almost everything, if not more than I could need for my crafting needs. The only drawback I have with this company is how long shipping took. From Canada to California, you really need to use your patience tool and bulk order if you are intending to make a lot of projects or sell items. A tiny annoyance was the fact that the package was packed with ads that came across as mere junk mail for AARP, Bradford Exchange and more. That being said I will definitely purchase from them again  in the future.

Yes, the hype is worth it; Parfait Premier has a soft texture, and works up beautifully. Be warned that magic rings are a learning curve with this yarn as it is difficult to pull the circle closed. Also, weaving in ends will inevitably leave some fuzzy debris around you. For examples, I have added the two projects I have created with this yarn. My first ever doll project and a couple of bumble bees.
